St Kilda will be forced to make at least one change at selection this week, after emerging key forward Paddy McCartin suffered a broken collarbone in Saturday’s win over Richmond.

Key defender Sam Fisher and ruckman Tom Hickey are a chance to return against Brisbane in the final game of the season, although both are facing a race against the clock to prove their fitness.

Dual Trevor Barker Award winner Fisher missed the game against Richmond after suffering a minor hamstring strain in the loss against Sydney, while Hickey also hurt his calf in the same game.

Fisher is considered more likely to return of the two, but both will need to prove their fitness at Thursday’s main training session before being declared available for selection.

First-year defender Brandon White is on the cusp of an AFL debut following another strong performance at Sandringham.

The polished ball user has built his game in the back half of 2016 and after being named as a senior emergency last weekend, could be in line for his first senior appearance.

Taken with St Kilda’s second pick in last year’s National Draft at No. 40, White was one of the Zebras’ best in their nine-point loss to Richmond on Sunday. He finished with 21 possessions, six tackles and five handball receives.

Cameron Shenton continued his excellent season in attack on the weekend, finishing with another haul of three goals to move into equal second place in the Frosty Miller Medal for leading goal kicker in the VFL.

The South Australian has been a standout performer for Sandringham this season and could be in the mix once again for another opportunity at senior level.
